Use Folio AI in Google Slides
Folio AI runs as a Google Workspace add-on inside Google Slides, so it works right next to your slides in the browser — nothing to install on your computer. Follow the steps below to get set up.
1. Get the Folio AI add-on
Install Folio from the Google Workspace Marketplace, then grant the permissions it requests so it can work within your presentations.

2. Open Google Slides
Open an existing presentation or create a new one at slides.google.com. Make sure you're signed in with the Google account you installed Folio on.
3. Launch the Folio AI add-on
In Google Slides, open the Extensions menu, choose Folio AI, then select it to open the Folio side panel. The first time you launch it, sign in to your Folio account. Your Folio account is separate from your Google account.

4. Start with your free credits
Every new account includes 500 free credits with no credit card required. When you need more, you can pick a plan at any time — see Plans and Billing for details.
5. Generate your first presentation
With the panel open, describe the deck you want and Folio will build it — or ask Folio to edit the presentation you already have open. Folio works with native Google Slides objects, so every element stays fully editable and you can keep refining with follow-up prompts.
